2004 Fountain Pajot Lavezzi

 22S/V INSPIRATION is a 2004 Fountain Pajot 40 Lavezzi catamaran for sale by owner. She has a 4 cabin / 2 head layout and is built to US specifications (wiring/plumbing/LP vent).  The Lavezzi is a fast, ocean certified, catamaran with very livable accommodations and easy to sail layout. This design also includes a very high bridgedeck which almost totally eliminates slapping.

Fountaine Pajot’s Lavezzi 40 is the first of FPs line to be a fully resin-infused foam core build, making it lighter and stronger than its predecessors. The light, modern construction gives the Lavezzi exceptional performance compared with catamarans of similar length.

With a light displacement and 95 sqm of sail area, the Lavezzi sails exceptionally well.  You can reach more than 10 knots through the water. The mast is a standard double spreader rig with diamonds to keep it straight, a forestay and two shrouds. Remarkably simple and it has worked on FP boats for years.

One of the brilliant features of this design is the ease of entry from the dingy. The cut away sugar scoops make stepping over very easy. After climbing onboard, it’s a simple matter of walking through the open bridge deck.  The helm is on the starboard side and is a simple step up instead of a long climb like so many cats being built today. The visibility is excellent with drop down window forward and folding canvas hatch above. 

The large cockpit has a triangular table that can seat at least 6.  The sliding door entry into the saloon is in the center with an adjoining sliding window that opens up the whole area of the salon and cockpit right at the well thought out galley on the port side.

Entry into the salon through the glass large sliding door reveals a spacious and well lit interior with an almost panoramic view.

The port hull has a central toilet and shower compartment with double cabins at the ends.  This layout is duplicated on the starboard side.  The aft cabins feel light and spacious with easy access to generous berths which are over 1.6m wide and 2m long.  There is plenty of open shelving and hanging locker stowage and good ventilation.  The hulls and the cabins feel private, spacious and the light sycamore wood finish has a quality feel to its lacquered finish.

S/V INSPIRATION has had major updates over the past few years, including new sails and stack pack and a new port motor added in 2015. Her cockpit has a hardtop with a complete enclosure, and she has high-quality vinyl-dipped forenets.

She also comes with an aluminum 9.5 RIB dinghy with 2016 Suzuki 15 hp outboard.

You will find her to be clean, well maintained, and not in need of any major work.  Her owners have just completed their Caribbean adventure.
