OVERVIEW

MARINE TRADING INTERNATIONAL WAS A NEW JERSEY BASED IMPORTER OF TAIWAN BUILT TRAWLER STYLE YACHTS.   FROM THE LATE 1960'S THROUGH ABOUT 2010 OR SO,  THEY IMPORTED APPROXIMATELY 3000 BOATS RANGING IN SIZE FROM 30 FEET UP TO 50 FEET.  THEIR MODELS RANGED FROM TRADITIONAL DOUBLE CABIN TRAWLERS DESIGNS, TO SEDAN'S AND SUNDECK STYLES WITH MANY DIFFERENT FLOORPLANS.  ONE THING THEY ALL HAD IN COMMON WAS THEIR EXQUISITE TEAK INTERIORS.AND ECONOMICAL, DEPENDABLE DIESEL ENGINES .  THEY BECAME A FAVORITE IN THE BOATING COMMUNITY AND REMAIN SO TODAY.

THE MARINE TRADER 40 SEDAN IS A PEOPLE FRIENDLY YACHT WITH A SALTY PROFILE AND A VERY PRACTICAL LAYOUT.  SHE IS BUILT ON A SOLID FIBERGLASS HULL WITH HARD AFT CHINES, A WELL-FLARED BOW AND A PROP-PROTECTING KEEL.  LIKE A TYPICAL SEDAN STYLE INTERIOR, THE MT 40 FLOORPLAN HAS THE SALON, LOWER HELM AND GALLEY ON THE SAME LEVEL, THEREBY ELIMINATING STAIRS IN MOVING AROUND THE BOAT ON THE MAIN LEVEL.  THE TWO STATEROOM ALL TEAK INTERIOR FEATURES A LARGE L-SHAPE GALLEY AMIDSHIPS TO PORT SEPARATED FROM THE AFT CONVERTIBLE U-SHAPE DINETTE BY A SERVING COUNTER.  TO STARBOARD, THE LOWER HELM IS FORWARD WITH A COUNTER AND CABINETS AFT OF THE HELM AND A SETTEE FURTHER AFT.  THE FORWARD LOWER LEVEL CABIN DECK FEATURES A MASTER STATEROOM TO PORT, A GUEST STATEROOM FORWARD AND A HEAD WITH A STALL SHOWER OPPOSITE THE MASTER.  ON DECK THE BRIDGE OVERHANG PROTECTS THE SIDE DECKS AND COCKPIT FROM SUN AND RAIN.  SHE ALSO HAS TEAK DECKS, A TEAK SWIM PLATFORM, A TRANSOM DOOR AND DEEP BULWORKS.  HER SPACIOUS UPPER DECK HAS THE HELM FORWARD WITH BACK TO BACK GUEST SEATS PORT AND STARBOARD, A MAST AND BOOM AND DINGY STORAGE AFT.

"SABABA" HAS HAD ONLY TWO OWNERS IN THE PAST 30 YEARS.   SHE IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION WITH MANY RECENT UPDATES.  SHE IS POWERED WITH.A SINGLE FORD LEHMAN  210 HP INBOARD DIESEL THAT WILL CRUISE HER AT ABOUT 7 KNOTS  BURNING ONLY 2 GPH.  SHE IS FRESH WATER COOLED AND HAS APPROXIMATELY 3000 HOURS ON HER.  SHE HAS AN 8 KW WESTERBEKE GENERATOR WHICH WILL POWER ALL ONBOARD SYSTEMS.  SOME OF HER MOST NOTABLE OPTION/UPDATES ARE A BOW THRUSTER, AN OIL CHANGER, A FUEL POLISHER, NEWER ELECTRONICS INCLUDING RADAR, A CUSTOM FRAMETOP ON THE BRIDGE WITH A NEW POLYCARBONATE ENCLOSURE.  HER TWO STATEROOM CABIN IS CLEAN AND  COMFORTABLE..  HERE CHEF-SIZE GALLEY HAS A PORCELIN COUNTERTOP AND NEWER APPLIANCES.  HER HEAD FEATURES A NEW ELECTRIC SILENT TOILET AND A LARGE STALL SHOWER.

IF YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR A BOAT FOR EITHER LONG DISTANCE CRUISING AND/OR HAVING A PLACE TO GATHER WITH FAMILY OR FRIENDS, "SABABA" IS A BOAT TO CONSIDER.  "SABABA" IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL 1980'S TRAWLER WHICH WILL BE EVIDENT WHEN YOU STEP ABOARD.  SHE IS CURRENTLY IN THE WATER AND AVAILABLE TO VIEW.  CALL FOR A PERSONAL INSPECTION, I LOOK FORWARD TO SHOWING HER TO YOU.  OFFERS ARE ENCOURAGED.....
